台风攻击潜艇是苏联海军的主要战力，可以在海里快速移动，用鱼雷伏击任何敌人，快速地击沉它们，然后在几秒钟内潜回海中。尽管他们是世界上最危险的杀手之一，但他们不能攻击陆上目标。且由于其舰身较长，转向会有些困难。 台风潜艇装备了两种不同的鱼雷武器：O型，一种标准的精准打击鱼雷，以及T型，一种使用高爆磁能弹头的鱼雷。磁能鱼雷的射程更远，且速度更快，但这种鱼雷不是很精准，且重新装填的时间更长。 | |
